The Festool CT-VA 20 Extractor Cyclone Pre Separator is quite a mouthful to say, which is fitting because this clever bit of kit adds not only capabilities but also capacity to your existing CT 26/36/48 extractors.
The Festool Cyclone Pre Separator comes with “cyclone technology”, which separates and collects coarse and fine dust before it reaches the mobile dust extractor. This swirling motion causes the dust particles to hit against the wall of the cyclone and fall into the collection container of the CT pre separator.
This will enable you to remove larger dust and debris before it fills your filter bag, reducing how often you need to replace filter bags and filters. The big bonus is that because of the reduction in dust load on the main filter, your extractor will maintain consistently high suction power.
Studies have also shown that using a Festool Cyclone Pre-Separator correctly can provide adequate protection against respirable crystalline silica (RCS) based on the established occupational workplace standard.
